HortEx 2020: the future of horticulture is in Vietnam

For the Forigo team, February ends with one of the key events of the beginning of this year: HortEx 2020, a fair dedicated to the horticulture and floriculture sector that will take place in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, from the 26^th to the 28^th of February. HortEx has a great importance, which comes from being the first and only event specialized in the techniques of production and processing of plants and flowers. HortEx has become, in a very short time, a point of reference for all the companies that move in the horticulture sector. It’s a business area that represents one of the greatest opportunities of growth for Vietnam economy and, therefore, it’s not surprising that this event takes place right in the most populous inhabited centre of the nation. Vietnam is an emerging and large market with a population of almost 97 million people; its economy is one of the most dynamic at a global level and continues to grow year after year.

The first edition, dating back to 2018, immediately registered important numbers: 110 exhibitors, with 4.500 visitors and a total of 20 participating nations. The following year, the success grew significantly: 200 exhibitors and almost 6.500 visitors. For this new edition it’s expected to register even greater numbers that will confirm, once again, the centrality of this fair at an international level.

The program scheduled for HortEx 2020 is full of events and activities: in-depth technical seminars, conferences and forums, showcases for products, plants and flowers, but also moments of exchange between the players, meetings with influencers and key leaders in the sector. In fact, the ultimate goal is to strengthen and create commercial agreements and new business alliances.
