Exhibitions _ 5 May 2020

For the first time, the Forigo team is preparing to participate in an innovative and unprecedented event in the agricultural and gardening machinery sector: we are talking about EIMA International! Due to the health emergency, the traditional appointment in Bologna has been postponed, but in November EIMA remains with an absolute novelty: EIMA Digital Preview. The event will take place from the 11th to the 15th of November 2020 in its digital preview and from the 3rd to the 7th of February 2021 at the fair in Bologna, as usual. Find out in this article all the details and news that the event will bring with it.

EIMA, since 1969 till today

Created in 1969, EIMA is an international exhibition organized by FederUnaComa (the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation), in which companies from every country in the world participate. EIMA has always been held in the Bologna Exhibition Centre, in an area of approximately 375 thousand square metres, hosting exhibitors from 50 countries. Every year, companies exhibit their vehicles, machinery and equipment for all type of agricultural processing and for every size and business model. The organization of the exhibition is divided into different merchandise sectors, which allows business and amateur visitors to focus immediately on individual areas of interest.

Year after year, EIMA has grown both in number of exhibitors and visitors. In 2018 it beats all previous records, reaching 1957 exhibitors and exceeding a total of 317 thousand visitors: if you consider that in 2010 there were 1600 exhibitors and about 166 thousand visitors, you will realize how in recent years the event has become a real reference appointment for anyone working in the agricultural and gardening machinery sector.

EIMA 2020-2021 edition: what news awaits us?

The edition of EIMA 2020-2021 will be full of news and appointments. The first great news of the edition is the innovative experience of EIMA Digital Preview, that will use the opportunities offered by the digital channels to present the various company profiles of exhibitors, their products and their technologies. This experiment, an absolutely innovative initiative for the sector, was created to deal with the health emergency, which has inexorably changed the balance and methods of any public event. This is an additional opportunity to create exchanges, sharing and debate, exploiting the power of digital platforms.

As for the event at the fair, there will be 14 merchandise sectors in which the event will be organized, including machines for the agri-industry, irrigation, harvesting, plant and crop treatment machinery. In each of these areas will be exhibited the new products proposed by each manufacturer. There will also be 4 specialized salons:

  • Components;
  • Green;
  • Energy;
  • Idrotech.

Among the novelties of EIMA 2020-2021, the Digital area stands out: it is an exhibition on 4.0 agricultural technologies where there will also be many startups. An outdoor demonstration area will host machines for biomass management and the parade of tractors finalists in the “Tractor of the Year” competition.

In conclusion, an event scheduled for September that will anticipate the fair: a competition to enhance innovation, technology and sustainability, dedicated to companies that have developed cutting-edge machinery capable of improving production processes and the quality of the work of operators. The winners will be announced during EIMA Digital Preview.

Forigo Roter Italia, which has always made research and innovation 2 of its founding values, will participate in the event by bringing its new products and technologies, first digitally and then finally at the fair. The team will wait for you for a digital preview from the 11th to the 15th of November 2020 and then at the Bologna Exhibition Centre from the 3rd to the 7th of February 2021.
