INTERNATIONAL Asparagus Days 2018: a new exhibition in emilia romagna

One of the most important novelties in the field of agriculture comes from Emilia Romagna: the “International Asparagus Days 2018”. It is a new exhibition created by the collaboration between one of the most famous experts in asparagus, Christian Befve, and Cesena Fiera. The growing demand and production of asparagus all over the world bring to the organization of the International Asparagus Days, which is inspired by an exhibition in Bordeaux. This event has all the credentials to become a successful exhibition also in Italy, thanks to its dynamism. In fact, the International Asparagus Days will be not only a reunion of exhibitors, but it also will make the visitor an active participant of the event.

International Asparagus Days is divided into many different parts. The first one is represented by the traditional exhibition, thanks to the participation of many companies dealing with seeds, seedlings, machines and equipment for sowing, transplanting, harvesting and packaging of asparagus. The second part of the International Asparagus Days is dedicated to the seminaries: the experts will focus on the agronomic, commercial, technical and strategical aspects of the asparagus culture. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be experts from all over the world: Italy, Mexico, China, Peru, Sweden and France. Two of the spokesmen are Christian Befve, who will talk about the innovation in asparagus culture, and Luciano Trentini, who will present the asparagus culture and production in Italy.

Some particularities of the International Asparagus Days are the tests, on Tuesday and Wednesday, in an area near Cesena Fiera, and the technical visits, on Thursday, to some of the major companies of asparagus in Emilia Romagna and Veneto.
