Agrilevante 2019: where agriculture become the main focus

Even during this fall, Forigo’s team will not stop! In October a new appointment will take place in the wonderful Puglia, in the south of Italy, a territory full of amazing landscapes that will host Agrilevante 2019, international exhibition dedicated to machines, plants and technologies for agriculture. The event wiil be open to visitors from the 10^th to the 13^th of October at the Fiera del Levante in Bari: it will be an incredible opportunity to learn about the latest solutions dedicated to the entire production cycle of the agricultural sector. The history of Agrilevante begin ten years ago, in 2009, with the first edition of an event that was destined to grow year after year. From the beginning, this event was promoted and organized – as still happens today – by FederUnacoma (the Italian Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers), with the collaboration of Fiera del Levante and sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies.

Nowdays, Agrilevante represents one of the most important exhibitions dedicated to the primary sector in the Mediterranean area. Agrilevante 2019 will host the entire range of machinery and equipment dedicated to the production chains and non-food crops; these machines represent the ideal solution for every phase of the production cycle, from soil working to sowing, from irrigation to harvesting, from transport to the initial processing of the products.

Agrilevante 2019 will have an important innovation compared to the previous editions: an area dedicated to the entire livestock supply chain. Thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Breeders Association (AIA), it will be offered an overview of the rich animal biodiversity in Italy. All of this will be possible thanks to a specific exhibition handled by the Regional Breeders’ Association of the Apulia Region, focused on the main breeds of dairy and meat cattle, sheep, goats, equidae and rabbits, with particular attention for the south of Italy. Another exhibition area will be dedicated to companies whose production is connected with the sector, such us feeds and livestock equipment.

The exhibition, this year, will be organized in six major sections, dedicated to cereal crops, olive-oil sector, horticulture, viticulture and oenology, livestock, energy and non-food production.

In addition, Agrilevante 2019 will be completed by the Multifunctionality in Agriculture (MIA) sector, which includes all possible businesses in rural areas, complementary to agriculture and capable of generating additional income. Furthermore, given the increasingly relevance of renewable energy, Agrilevante 2019 will present a demonstration area focused on this topic. Agrilevante is a winning project, as the numbers of the previous editions show: in 2017 there was a total of 70.700 visitors, of which over 3000 from 30 foreign countries, with more than 300 exhibitors.
